Growing Up Sports

Sports Talk CPC’s first blog,

Hi, welcome to our first blog for Sports Talk CPC. My brother and I grew up in a sports family. Pops is what we call our dad Steve who was very instrumental in our sport’s life until we graduated from high school. He made sure we were treated fairly by our coaches and our teachers in school. He coached us from the time we were eight and five years old until we were in the ninth grade. He started baseball teams for us and any neighborhood children who wanted to be on the team. They were named The Eastside Eagles sponsored by Joe England’s Realty company Eastside Realty. The two team’s coaches were Steve Baker, Stanley Flag and Daryl Swan. Other coaches were added as the teams grew. They played in city tournaments and many of the players went on to play high school baseball. The team was started in Evanston in Cincinnati, Ohio and continued for twelve years. They taught their players discipline, teamwork, respect and the importance of keeping up with our grades. They even went to the schools to check our grades. And lectures were constant about how we should carry ourselves as young men and women because our teams were co-ed.

Please leave your stories. We would like to produce a podcast that airs various stories about you growing up in sports or a family member growing up in sports. We would like for you to pass this blog along as well as our podcast Sports Talk CPC.

Baseball and Dusty Baker

Baseball in America is as big as the game of football and basketball. It is our summer sport and fans love it. The two leagues are the National League and the American League.

Our topic this month is Baseball and Dusty Baker. Dusty is in the American League as the Manager of the Houston Astros. This is his 24th season as a Major League Manager. He has led the Astros to the playoffs as their manager for th last two seasons, 2020 and 2021. He is expected to lead them not only to the playoffs this year but to the World Series again, and this time we belive he will win it. His fans are rooting for him to win this year. (2022)

We at CPC PUBLISHING AND ENTERTAINMENT LLC are rooting for Manager Dusty Baker in hopes that his team the Houston Astros will WIN IT !!

Go Houston Astros and Manager Dusty Baker!!!

World Series 2022

Congratulations to Dusty Baker for winning the 2022 World Series.

Dusty Baker truly deserves his win for the 2022 World Series. He has been hard working with the Houston Astros and has patiently waited for his time to prove his leadership as a baseball manager. He has proven himself over the course of at least 50 years of professionalism in baseball as a player and a manager. We at Sports Talk CPC have had the pleasure of meeting Dusty and being in his company as one of his acquaintances in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a genuine person, easy to talk to and lots of fun to be around. We always go to Cleveland to meet him when he plays the Cleveland Guardians. He also supports Nonprofit organizations, example: CUFA (Communities United for Action) located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Manager Dusty Baker, CONGRATULATIONS!

BENGALS/ MOVING ON UP

The Bengals are the best team in the AFC North as of Dec. 31, 2022. Barring injuries they should go back to the Super Bowl. And they have proven themselves Sunday Dec. 24th when they held the lead against the Patriot until the end of the game making their record 11-4. They now have a winning streak of eight consecutive games. Good luck against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night!
